I think the new version of WordPress rocks! Yes, I know its almost the same as the previous version. But the simple addition of the ‘Press This’ bookmarklet has already been put to good use. I know I’ll end up blogging a lot more often now that I have the bookmarklet at my disposal.
I’m also excited about the Google Gears support although I don’t know if I’ll be able to see much of an improvement in load times since I use the latest nightly build of WebKit.
I have to say, WordPress is, in my opinion, the best blogging CMS system out there. I’ve tried Drupal, Txtpattern, Blogger, TypePad, and a few other obscure ones and WordPress has really out-shined them all. If you’re looking to start a blog or simple website, I highly recommend WordPress. It’s easy to set up and very easy to use and maintain.
