And While I’m At It…

Since we are on the topic of links, you’ll notice I already added the Cerulean Studios link and badge to the site. Trillian, which CS developed, is a multi-protocol Instant Messenger application; it works with the big guys like AOL, ICQ, MSN, & Yahoo! but because it works with plugins it also supports Jabber, Novell, and now Skype. I recommend it to everyone who is a habitual IM’er like myself. If you have more than one screen name for a particular medium, you can use the Trillian Pro and connect to all of them simultaneously; I, myself, have two AOL, two ICQ, seven MSN, one Yahoo!, and one Skype screen names. Its a great tool that I can’t stop talking about. Check it out!

Google/Maps/Hack/NYC Subway

I’m a big fan of the blog Lifehacker and today, they pointed to this hack for Google Maps that shows the subway system for New York City. You can search addresses and get the nearest subway stations and the lines they serve - its really neat! Its in beta (isn’t everything these days) and its slow to load because it loads every single subway station into memory. I can’t say that I could ever be a huge fan of On NY Turf because of their self proclaimed “…decidedly progressing angle.” but it can be informative albeit narrow in its scope.

Anyway, if you are new to NYC like me, this can be a big help while navigating your way around.

Links

Since this blog is (relatively) new, I don’t have everything set up. I want to add Trillian and Firefox badges on the bottom next to the Blogger badge. I also want to link to my favorite sites – mostly other blogs – and use them to expose a little of my personality. But I’m always looking for new and interesting sites that may fit in with my reading habits. If anyone has some cool links that compliment the ones I get around to putting up, please post them in the comments section.

Family Guy

Family Guy is fucking funny.

That is all.
